   A database is a collection of information that is search-able

    through specific keywords. Databases are compiled from

    magazine, newspaper academic journals, and more articles.


 Why do I need to use a database

   If you are writing a paper for school or work you most likely

    need reference to avoid plagiarism, give credit to ideas used by

    other authors, and to have the correct facts.


 How do I pick the right database?

     EBSCO is our main database however, EBSCO has made

     it possible to search by age groups, specialized fields or a

     general search.

Middle School Explora has the same sources as the Elementary edition but with more areas of studies all at the middle school level.

High School Explora has resources for current issues, government, and finance, as well as history.

Consumer Health allows you to search for drug & herb information, fact sheets and pamphlets on illnesses and diseases and a lot more.

Covering subjects such as history, current events, science and sports, it also includes thousands of biographies and primary source documents, plus over a million photos, maps and flags.

This resource provides full-text scholarly content for major college courses. Designed specifically for academic institutions, this database provides full-text and peer-reviewed journals essential for undergraduate and graduate studies.

An upgrade from Masterfile Premier, “Complete” offers full text for an additional 700 journals and magazines, over 400 additional reference books, and over 70,000 videos from the Associated Press.

This is a new database for this year, which includes over 150 multidisciplinary reference books, over 50 general interest magazines, more than 2,500 health reports, and over 1 million images with captions in Spanish.
